Debbie Russell had a thriving career as a prosecutor.

She'd worked hard for her career, and found that she was addicted to the adrenalin rush it provided, and the fact it offered a pension. Somehow, she'd  known even then that she wanted to retire with some time left in life for creative pursuits. And finding old family letters focused Debbie's attention on both knowing more and writing.
